l got into a scary car accident this rainy wednessday. a track drive hit me but the cop said it was my fault and he wrote me a ticket for amount $84.50 and he did not order me to apear in court but he said l have a right to if l wanna go to court! l already have 4 points on my driving record so How many points will l get for a car accident? Should l go to courtto avoid additional points? if l do not get a lawyer and go to court will they take my permit away? yeah l know l do not have a license and i'm 16yrs old. what should l do? go to court anyway to avoid the points? l live in Kansas city, Missouri. thanks for your suggestions
yeah in Missouri they only allow 8 points before ur lincense can get suspended/taken away.

just because you choose to go to court doesnt mean that you will not end up with points. all it means is that yiu are contesting the ticket which was given to you. Normally if you are found guilty in court you will still get the points and probably a fine aswell. go and see a lawyer before you decide to go to court and explain what happened and ask what they think the probable outcome might be.

Ok - in CA if you had 4 pts against you, your license would be suspended. The fact you have so many points and dont' even have a license yet is SCARY unless the points you are talking about are different than what l am thinking of! Go to court and argue it out - not sure how it could be your fault if the truck hit you unless you ran a red light or did something else illegal that caused the accident. Good luck.

The ticket will say which traffic law you violated. There is no fine for having an accident. He must have cited you for one of the infractions in this list which also gives the points assessed for that infraction. If he gave you a ticket for a non-moving violation then there are no points, just a fine.
