l own a rental car agency so l posted $35,000 with the California D.M.V. to be my own insurance company. l was arrested for D.U.I. and the charge was reduced to an exhibition of speed by the court but the D.M.V. suspended my license in an administrative per se action. Can l use this insurance to obtain an SR-22? Thanks to all!

you have 35,000 sitting in the DMV coffers just gathering dust? If you do get into an accident on top of that the 35,000 will be gone. Do you have insurance on your business? An sr22 filing is a specific form filed with the California DMV assuring the DMV that if your insurance cancels the insurance company will file an sr26. l dont beleive that you can do this without an insurance company.
