l live in NJ. I am 16 and 8 months old. l passed my writing test a year ago. In my state, l have to take 6 hours behind the wheel traing if I am under 16, which is pretty expensive. If I am 17 l do not have to and my Dad can teach me but they say that training can give some discount on my insurance. Should l take the training or not?

l would take the training, cause it also helps when you take the driving test.and can help with the insurance too. hope this helped.

Do take the training. No disrespect to your Dad, but unless he is an A-1 driver, he is picked up a few bad habits over the years. And he may not be aware of some of the new rules and regulations. A trained driving instructor can start you out with clean sheet - he will advise you on the proper way to drive, how to drive defensively, and how to stay out of trouble. Plus you get a discount on your insurance - that makes an unbeatable combination.

no, time and money.aint worth it!!! your dad can teach you just as well.so i'd wait
